Chris Annis

IMG_1952I was born and raised in the small town of Merrill, Wisconsin.  I attended college at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated with a degree in Physics in 1992.  After relocating to Florida, I attended the University of Florida College of Law where I received my law degree in 1997.  In my first four years of practice, I worked at a personal injury firm in Gainesville which laid the foundation for my career in personal injury law.  I then went to work for a large insurance defense firm for two years where I represented insurance companies.  At that job, I learned how insurance companies evaluate cases and the tactics they use to try to decrease the value of cases.

In 2004, I went back to representing accident victims and created the Law Office of Christopher J. Annis, LLC.  My goal is to create an alternative to the large, “big box” personal injury firms and lawyer referral hotlines you see on TV.  I want to create a more classic attorney/client relationship in which I know my clients and my clients know me.  I do not want to pass your case off to a junior attorney.  I want to handle your case myself.  I believe that the only way an attorney can adequately represent a client is by getting to know them on a personal level.  That type of relationship takes time and effort to build.  That’s why you can count on me to take the time to talk to you whenever you have questions or concerns about your case.  If you choose my firm to represent you, I promise that I will do everything I can to ensure that you receive the best possible result under the law.

Dolly Wright

IMG_1951Dolly is my assistant and paralegal.  Dolly was born in New York City and spent the early part of her life in Miami, Florida.  Her family moved to Gainesville when she was 8.  She graduated from Gainesville High and obtained her paralegal certification from Santa Fe College.  She then worked for several firms in Gainesville where she became familiar with personal injury law and learned how to handle accident cases from start to finish.

I met Dolly at my first job as a law clerk when I was still in law school.  We have worked together ever since, and she is the only assistant I have ever had.  Dolly has a passion for helping people get through the stress and trauma of an accident.  She knows firsthand how an accident can alter the quality of your life.  From the financial stress of being unable to work to the physical pain of dealing with your injuries, Dolly is here to offer compassion and support as we confront the insurance company, the at-fault party or the Social Security Administration to get you the results you deserve.
