I founded The Law Office of Christopher J. Annis, LLC, in Gainesville in 2004 on the principle of being wholly dedicated to helping injured individuals and their families obtain the compensation they deserve.
I have extensive experience on both sides of personal injury cases, having served as legal counsel for insurance providers before starting my own firm. Working on the other side of these cases provided me valuable insights into the tactics that insurance companies use to protect their own profits by minimizing the amount they pay to injured parties or by denying valid claims altogether. I understand the frustration and the tension that results from fighting with insurance providers for compensation that is rightly owed to you. I am committed to helping injured individuals throughout North Central Florida in personal injury lawsuits, workers' compensation and Social Security Disability claims.
I was born and raised in Merrill, Wisconsin, and attended Marquette University on a full ROTC scholarship, graduating in 1992 with a degree in physics. After graduation, I was stationed with the U.S. Navy in Orlando.
I obtained my law degree from the University of Florida in 1997 and immediately started my own personal injury firm in Gainesville. I handled cases involving auto accidents, slip-and-fall accidents, dog bites and workers' compensation, as well as various types of insurance claims.
I transitioned to working for a Gainesville insurance defense firm for two years, where I gained the inside knowledge that serves my clients well in my current practice. In 2004, I started my current firm and once again focused on representing injured individuals.
My assistant, Dolly Wright, has worked with me for 16 years. She has more than 20 years of experience as a paralegal, and she shares my passion for helping injured individuals and their families. We provide client-focused service that is concentrated on maximizing the amount we recover for our clients in the most efficient manner possible. Our cases in all practice areas are taken on a contingency fee basis. There are no upfront costs and you will only pay attorney fees if I obtain a financial recovery for you, either through a settlement or a court judgment.'
